The Seneca County Council on Homelessness (SCCoH) is a 501(c)(3) organization made up of dedicated individuals from various sectors of our community. Many of our members have worked directly with those facing homelessness for years and have a deep understanding of the local challenges. Our goal is to bring together community leaders, policymakers, business owners, educators, faith-based groups, and social service organizations to create a coordinated, effective, and sustainable approach to addressing homelessness in Seneca County.
The Transformation Life Center provides emergency housing for women and children in Seneca County, recognizing that women, particularly those with children, are disproportionately impacted by homelessness. In addition to providing a safe place to stay, we offer a variety of educational programs aimed at helping women move from dependency to self-sufficiency. Our residents have access to life skills classes, budgeting workshops, and connections to vital community resources. By equipping women with the knowledge and tools they need, we help them build the foundation for a stable, independent future.
Challie Briihl , Executive Director Transformation Life Center
I was born and raised in Tiffin, Ohio and a 2008 graduate of Columbian High School. I was awarded my associate in general studies and bachelor’s in criminal justice from Tiffin University in 2014. Throughout my career I have worked in social services where I found my passion helping underserved, at risk populations. In November of 2023 I will have completed my master’s degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University. I am a proud mother of three boys who are all very active in sports, which keeps us busy. In our free time we love to travel and spend time making memories. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve those in need in Seneca County.
